Twice so far I have had Antenna crash on me. Once yesterday and once two weeks ago. In both cases I had a text box open with two or three lines of text unsaved. In both cases I opened the preview page and on trying to go back to Antenna it had crashed obviously losing the unsaved text. I have tried to repeat the problem today, but so far I have not been able to, so this looks like it is going to be a hard one to crack.
The other problem I have found is that I have tried the latest Microsoft Edge having previously hated the original version I always stuck to Internet Explorer. Having tried Edge I found that to test for mobile use you cannot close Edge down narrow enough. I don't know whether anybody else has found this problem.

Hi Prem,
Please let me know if you find a way to reproduce the crash issue, and whether Antenna quit or froze.
With Edge 44.18362.449.0 I can reduce Edge narrow enough to test for mobile.
Cheers, J

Hi Jason,
As soon as I can reproduce the crash I will certainly let you know. In each case Antenna froze.
The version of Edge that I have is: 84.0.522.44 and stating that it is up-to-date.

Hi Jason,
I finally got it to crash but it is still not consistent. I had a text window open to update the text and this was left open. I then click preview page and that's when antenna froze. So what I have done is to go into the event viewer and save the details from the crash log and windows reporting. Hopefully they should be useful to you.
The first one is the first crash log:
Faulting application name: Antenna.exe, version: 7.1.7461.39105, time stamp: 0x5eda15b8 Faulting module name: spCapBtn.dll_unloaded, version: 8.2.3.43, time stamp: 0x5e60fbb9 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0005857c Faulting process ID: 0x2d4c Faulting application start time: 0x01d66729262b6928 Faulting application path: E:\Program Files\Antenna\Antenna.exe Faulting module path: spCapBtn.dll Report ID: 0655ccab-868e-41a0-a902-c6d3f19032d6 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID:
The second one is the details from the first crash log:

There is a second crash log and windows reporting, covering the same crash. If you need them I will send them.
Hopefully this is useful information to work on, but as I said. I could not get it to crash again with any text windows open for modification. I have also saved the report.wer, just in case you need that. This is all new to me. I never had any access to this sort of stuff in my programming days. I do wonder if Windows is trying to pinch some memory space?
Good luck, Prem

Hi Prem,
Thanks for the information. Do you have anything by Kaspersky Labs installed (stickypassword?).
Cheers, J

Hi Jason,
Yes I do have sticky password. As far as I know I have nothing by Kaspersky Labs, unless of course sticky password is by them. I'm afraid at my age now I need something to remember my passwords. I just hope it's not causing any problems.
Regards, Prem

Yes, I think sticky password is by Kaspersky Labs. The log posted above says sticky password crashed, and took Antenna down with it.
Is it possible to run Antenna without sticky password running, at least temporarily to see whether that solves it?
Cheers, J

Yes, I will give that a go today. As far as I remember there was no indication in the event viewer that sticky password had crashed. If I get no results today I will switch sticky password back on and run it all again tomorrow and if it crashes. I will dig deeper in the event viewer.
Regards, Prem

Thanks for that Loes. They say you never stop learning. I will have to go back through my event viewer and see if there is anything about that DLL before antenna crashed. Thanks once again

Hi Jason,
After Loes's comments I went back through my event viewer and looked at the first crash which appears to be completely different to the second one. The first indication is a Windows error reporting and then an application hang. This is shown below. Date and time:25/7/2020 11:40:23 ________________

So far, I have not been able to get Antenna 7 to crash any more since the last two. That is with and without Sticky Password running.
I suspect it was Microsoft doing its usual.
