Hi , I have been unable to publish any updates to my website. The issue seems to be an FTP issue to do with the file server requesting 'TLS Security mechanisms' error code 421. Does anyone have any info or similar issue with this or is there a way that I can you a third party ftp uploader with Antenna? Many thanks

Hi Rustyfish,
Sounds like you are almost there.
Double-check the FTP settings, especially the Remote Folder field, provided by your host. Some hosts require you to upload into a folder (not into the root). For example the Remote Folder might be called public_html or similar - it depends on your host.

Hi J , Thanks for your reply. Issue seems to be with the web hosting server requesting newer version of TLS encryption. Last few years i've never had a problem uploading in standard ftp mode with root folder set to none. Error has only now started since i've had to use ftp with ssl instead. Unfortunately. There's not many options I can change in the web publisher. Any other ideas?
Thanks C

Hi Rustyfish,
It could be that your host has updated their systems recently, and dropped support for standard FTP. If so, FTP over SSL is a good alternative.
The 550 error on the root directory suggests Antenna is actually connecting OK with FTP over SSL, which is good. But then the server refuses permission to modify the root directory. That is not unusual, and might be due to the changes your host has made - but I'm speculating at this point.
Next step: Try browsing with an FTP program such as Filezilla. That way you can take a look at the contents of root directory and see what files and folders are in there.
Cheers, J
