I completed and uploaded this site today. www.safaridecks.co.zaIt is the first time that I have used the photo albums option in Antenna. I originally did all the albums in flash, but since there are albums on each page,I just couldn't get the albums to show up correctly,it created a conflict on the server. I tried for 3 days to sort the flash problems out,but no luck,so since I was pressed for time I thought I might as well give Antenna albums a go.... Well I have to say,it is a wonderful option in Antenna! So easy to implement, what a pleasure! ;D Btw Frank,I used the Antenna Razor also for the first time during the creation of this website, what a pleasure as well! Your panel idea for sizing worked great, thanx!

Jenny,
nice site, just a small thing I see with your buttons.
If you hover off the link name the button background changes to the green but if you hover on the link name it goes off.
I find using this type of idea for a roll over effect is to use a panel and place it on the top layer and then you avoid this issue all together and it means you can place your mouse anywhere you like and the image will roll to the new one. You must make sure you set the hyperlink to the desired page on the panel as well so when it is clicked it will take you there. Or if you don't want to use a panel just use a transparent gif in it's place it will do the same thing.
Just another small thing I noticed on your home page where you have the text down the left hand box after your commas you don't have any spaces for the next word.

Graham Thanx for the feedback Graham, much appreciated I didn't even notice the comma issue..lol...will fix it tomorrow morning, ditto the mouse over. Frank showed me how to do it with transparent gif,but for the life of me a can't remember how. I have his tutorial/demo on one of my external hard drives and will wrestle with that mouseover beast tomorrow ;D Btw,did the site load fast or slow on your side?

Jenny very professional. just a couple of things, 1- the bottom thin green panel is sitting 2 pxls left of the main panel. 2- it is a bit touchy finding the sweet spot on your navigation, I suggest addig a transparent.gif to the text box bground. making the entire box clickable.

Okay I have to admit that I am absolutely stupid when it comes to creating rollovers like this. Frank showed me before how to do it with transparent gif and events script. I eventually got right....I now can't duplicate it again, forgot how I did it before.... Me and event scripts are not friends at all!
Can anyone please give me an easier way to do this? Something that does not involve events scripts?
I tried putting a transparent give over the text box and even under it,but its not working. Can any of you please give me a simple step by step instruction on how to create this type of roll over without event scripts?

Hi Jenny
I was just wondering how much you ask for a website?
Other people who do web design can also say how much they charge but Jenny is from South Africa so it would be like comparing apples with apples.
PS You don't have to say!

Lol...I don't have a problem with saying how much I charge. I charge R3 500 for a basic 5 page static site and the fee is excluding domain reg and hosting. For CMS sites I charge R6 000 upwards. I do however, from time to time run a special for a few weeks. Currently I am running such a special till end of March, R2 600 for 5 page static site, including domain reg & hosting. And you? How much do you charge?

Being in the "Gat Kant" of the World LOL I have to be competitive so I charge R 1 500 per 3 page website. I am currently freelancing for another company and there I get only R 800 per design. It's not my daytime job so I suppose its ok.
What CMS do you use or did you write one yourself? I love Wordpress almost as much as I love Antenna. For a Wordpress website I charge Double.

I am also not doing this full time, but would like to eventually do it full time as I really love web design... At the moment though, I'm not getting enough business monthly to do it full time, way to many design companies in Jhb and competition is heavy! lol
I'm no coder so rely on available CMS platforms. I like working with PHP Nuke & Drupal and have also been playing around with Joomla. Wordpress is also a big favorite, although I am still learning how to build a proper site with Wordpress where the actual blog is not part of the site. I've seen some awesome sites created with Wordpress where it was used as a CMS and not a blog. I'm learning how to do that, but free time is in short supply,so slow going.
