(This tip applies to older releases of Antenna that Windows XP supports)
Q. When I preview web pages containing script, Flash or active-x controls my web browser displays an info bar at the top of the page telling me some of the page content has been blocked. After publishing everything is fine. Why does this happen? I am running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later...
A. This is due to a new security feature Microsoft introduced in Windows XP Service Pack 2. Once your pages are published online everything should work OK and the information bar will not appear...
More detail: By default Windows XP Service Pack 2 does not allow any script or active content to run when a web page is opened locally (i.e. when your page is opened from your local hard drive). This a security feature introduced in Service Pack 2. It is a local security feature only and the warning message should not occur when viewing the web pages online after publishing. If you wish you can turn this security feature off altogether :
- In Internet Explorer, select Tools > Internet Options - Click the Advanced tab, and scroll to the Security section - Enable the "Allow active content to run in files on my computer" option
