Good Evening !
if I want to make a page with just my header and footer and my menu buttons so that I can use this page for every page. I believe you called it layering. Do i need to create a page and called it for example main page and use this document everytime I create a new page and use it as my standard template.
Do I hyperlink my menu buttons on the "main page" this way when I layer it it has the links.
Thanks for the help.
robert
Merry Christmas !!!!!!!

Hi Robert,
You've almost got it. Best way is to create a new page and call it something like 'master.htm'. Put your header, footer and menus on this page. This page itself will not be seen by your site visitors, but it acts like a sort of master template for your other pages.
OK, now open your home page (index.htm) and add an Include layer - then set it's Master-page property to point to your 'master.htm' page.
That's all you need to do when you create a new page - just add an Include layer that points to 'master.htm' and your header, footer and menus will all be included automatically.
Of course when you've done this once to your homepage you can just duplicate index.htm to create your other pages - so the Include layer is already set up for you.
Once you've created a few pages, hyperlink your menu buttons on the master.htm page. Any changes you make to your 'master.htm' page in the future will be reflected automatically in all the other pages that include it - so it's really easy to modify the overall look and expand your site further.
Cheers, Stormdance
