Have got copy of Antenna for evaluation and find it impressive but some problems. If I insert a table using HTML, font formatting etc seems not to work. So I tried using text boxes for each cell. This slowed Antenna to a snail's pace, double-clicking on text boxes no longer brought up edit options, and eventaully resulted in the layer (the only layer) being locked so I could no longer edit it.
I would appreciate any suggestions/workaround tips for handling this type of situation.

Hi Wkenny,
A Visual HTML control from the extras menu is probably the way to go for creating a custom table using your own html code. This control has font settings available on the Style tab and of course you can also change the font with the html code.
Using numerous individual text boxes for each cell is possible - but a laborious process, so not recommended. I just tried adding a lot of text boxes to a page here to test performance - I got to well over 50 text boxes on a page with no loss in performance (Windows 2000, 1GHz).
Cheers, Stormdance.

Many thanks for the quick reply. I will try using Visual HTML for tables. I have realised that the number of text boxes on my page is not the cause of the slow-down - I've had the same problem on a second page with only five boxes. There can be delays of over 10 seconds from mouse-click to action, whether its moving the text box, selecting another box or opening the text editing window. This behaviour appears somewhat random, but once it happens the problem does not go away for the remainder of the session. I am using Win2000 Pro, IE6 384mb RAM and all my antivirus, adaware and keylog protection is up to date. The problem occurs even if no other apps are, or have been, running. I think, but am not sure, that it begins after selecting page preview.

Hi Wkenny,
You could try running the software with Windows Task Manager open - see if there's a process running that suddenly starts using a large % of CPU power during a delay. Also check to see if you have a large number of web browser extensions installed.
If you are running on a laptop that is disconnected from the Internet you could also try turning off Antenna's automatic check for updates in options - see if that makes any difference.
Cheers, Stormdance
