I'm after a script that someone may have for downloading a file from my website to someones download folder? it can be attached to a button or image, I'm on version 7.5. The location may or may not be in a password protected folder.
Any help will be much appricated.

What I normally do is give the person my web address/folder name/required file. Whether you could add that to a button and a box to enter the file name. I don't know. Hopefully it gives you some ideas.

Give this a try:
- Place your file (e.g. mydocument.pdf) in the same folder as your web page. - Add a Visual HTML object to your web page, double-click it to edit, then add the following code in the body tab:
<a href="mydocument.pdf" download>Download my .pdf file</a>
That should create a simple clickable link to download the file, instead of the browser opening it as a link. The file doesn't have to be in the same folder as your web page (e.g. downloads/docs/mydocument.pdf is OK) - but it needs to be hosted on your website, rather than someone else's server.
