Only text objects cannot be edited. Other items can be selected by clicking to the left of an object and then I can change the properties via Properties Panel. Images: click on the left to select and double-click on that same offset spot will open PhotoRazor.

Any solution found by someone/Stormdance to this annoying problem? Since I installed the update to 5.6 I am facing a similar problem with text boxes only: Working with Windows 7 Home. Tried the suggestion of setting IE to default and re-installing Antenna but nothing changes (don't understand what this problem potentially could have to do with the browser at all since it appears while working in Antenna..).
Text boxes sometimes CAN be edited, but in MANY cases it cannot: After double clicking the text box suddenly all text disappears leaving an empty text box! Back to "Edit" > "Undo Text" shows the text again (and it can be added). However, the text box itself cannot be moved anymore (both with arrow keys and mouse selection)! Have to save the project, reload again and it starts all over!
Thanks, Hans

Hi Hans are you able to do a little video of what happens so I can see it in action. This is something I have never seen that both you and Loes have but if I can see whats going on I might be able to figure something out.
Once you make your little video just go to my templates site. The link is under my posts and click the send file button.
If you dont have any video software download one called jing and it lets you create an account and upload the video to it and send a link to me.
Thanks
Graham

Hi Graham. I think I found the cause. For graphic designing I am using a Logitech mouse/trackball AND a small Wacom Intuos pen & touch tablet (model CTH-480). Once a text box in Antenna is double-clicked with the mouse, the box seems opening well with visible and editable text. Doing the same just by pen (by double tapping the point on the tablet which should be the same like a double-mouse-click) the text box opens as well but -in most cases- the text vanishes as earlier described! That being said there seems some conflict with the Wacom tablet (pen) and Antenna V.5+. I use the tablet and pen for most navigation rather than the mouse (RSI..) and have not encountered any problems with other software so far. Workaround: Re-defined the pen-button settings to "double clicking" (instead of right clicking by default) and pressing the pen button to edit a text box in Antenna (instead of double-tapping the pen on the tablet). Nevertheless it's just a workaround and I believe it is something that Stormdance should look into. BTW thanks for the tip on Jing, very nice video/screen capture feature!
Thanks, Hans

In addition to my previous message: Using Antenna v.5.6 on a laptop with Win 7 Home Edition 32-bit, and a i7-PC with Windows Professional 64-bit. Same problem on both machines..

Hans do they all work with a normal mouse?

Frank, clicking text boxes with the mouse seems all working fine. The workaround with the pen-redefining is pretty annoying as I am used to the pen-default settings (all other programs) :-(.

I wonder if Loes uses a special mouse or pen?

Nope, nothing special - just a regular optical mouse.

Well, I have followed this thread enough to discover that is a known issue.
I am currently using version 5.6. Yet, still NO Text Box editing is possible. I had to revert to version 4.5 for Text Box editing to function. Obviously, by doing so, forfeiting all of the features in the most recent version.
Surely, there must be a solution for this issue for such a fine product.
Here are my parameters: ● Using Windows 10 on a DELL DeskTop PC. ● Using a Logitech Trackman Marble.
I have already tried all of the fixes suggested in this forum to no avail. Will Stormdance release a fix for this?

Just curious, have you tried a normal mouse? Or is that a normal mouse?

Loes, since you don't use Internet explorer anyway...I wonder if you reverted back to IE10 if it would make a difference? Since Antenna uses IE maybe some configuration in IE11 is messing up. Frank

An update: we're in Austria again. As per Julian suggestion I added an extra User Account, restarted my computer, logged into that new user account and tried Antenna (version 5.6). No joy! Still cannot edit text boxes in Antenna. To close Antenna I have to use Task Manager (it won't close by clicking on the red cross in the corner or by choosing File > Exit.) In short - same behavior on this computer here in Austria since March 2015. Problem isn't too big: we're only here for a week, I brought my laptop (Antenna works fine on it) and thanks to Frank I know now how to use CutePDF to edit HTML Loes

Problem fixed! I can edit text boxes again. Solution: Download and use the MCPR.exe McAfee removal tool and things work like a charm again (sorry Frank, no right-click in text boxes). On this Windows 7 computer in Austria I could not upgrade to Windows 10. The "Get Windows 10" box was a big empty white space with just a blue turning arrow - nothing happening. Looking for a solution to that Win10 problem I found a tip to use the McAfee removal tool. (McAfee came with a temporary license with this computer, never used it and I couldn't get rid of it either, it got in the way of updating Norton as well). After running the removal tool and rebooting the computer, the Get Windows 10 box opened by itself, telling me that the upgrade was ready for me to start. So, hoping that this removal tool would be a one-size-cures-all solution, I tried Antenna and it works! I can double-click on a text box and it selects it and I can edit the text. Happy camper here in Austria I downloaded the McAfee removal tool here: mcafee-removal-tool.com/Loes
