Boxing a group of objects...
If you click in an empty area of the page you can drag out a selection box to select multiple objects - only objects that are completely within the selection box will become selected. Once a group of objects is selected, clicking and dragging any one of the selected objects will move all the objects. Click on an empty area of the page, or on an unselected object to cancel the group selection.
To add individual objects to the current selection, hold down the Shift key while clicking.
To quickly select all the objects on the current layer press Ctrl-A or choose Select All from the Edit menu, toolbar, or right-click pop-up menu.
Aligning with the snap-grid...
To enable the snap-grid click the small blue button at the top left of the editor window - where the rulers meet (it has a little grid image drawn on it). When you move objects they will automatically 'snap' to grid making them much easier to align.
The snap grid is initially set to 10x10 pixel squares, but you can change this if you wish by right-clicking the blue snap-grid button.
Using the Align function to line up objects...
There is an 'Align' function on the main Edit menu and on the page editor toolbar which enables you to align a group of selected objects so that they are all in line with each other (align top/bottom/left/right). This is also available from a pop-up menu by right-clicking on the page.
Nudging objects...
In addition you can nudge selected objects a few pixels using the arrow keys on your keyboard. If you hold down the shift key while pressing an arrow key then the snap-grid becomes temporarily enabled - so objects will nudge in snap-grid increments.
