Couldn't find an answer in the thread history about the following:
What I want: A xxx.theme page with a gradient background to stretch and cover an entire page, regardless of browser resolution/monitor used.
What I did: a) Made a gradient of 1pix width, 10pix high, located at X-0, Y-0 (i.e. top of page) b) Set both width and height at 100% and...Yes, that's what I want it to look!
However, once set the center-page to "true" the gradient is gone and instead it shows the default white background. Tried a different way by setting center-page (on xxx.THEME page) back to "false" and instead setting index page to "true" but this causes the same effect.
Must be doing something wrong. Any hints?
Thanks,
Hans

Do you want the background to cover th entire page even outside the site it,s self? Why can't you just go to Page layout and, have it repeat both X and Y. You might have to extend the 10 pixels high to the max you want for the page otherwise you will end up it the Gragient repeating it self.

After hours of struggling I found a (different) way to get the desired effect, by creating a gradient 10px wide and 1000px heigh and putting this one as a back-image with image-tiling "repeat-x" on the .theme page. Last but not least set the page centered "true" and adding a text panel of 980x1000px.

In spite of the earlier message...I am stuck. My described solution works but if I place a white panel or gradient on that same .theme page (as white background panel for black text on the pages to develop later) with fixed dimension f.e. lenght det to 1000 all is o.k. but if set length to 100% the panel "shrinks" to a few pixels high. It seems o.k. if center-page (.theme page) is set "false". In that case however the panel indeed extracts vertical but is located on the left instead of centered as I want it to be.
For sure I am doing something wrong as it looks the % setting versus fixed and centered "true" causes the problem.
Any suggestion?
Thanks, Hans

A very late response, but it may help someone...I got a full-page gradient to work by plugging in some CSS3 code into a virtualHTML box head section. It's called a ""multi-color" gradient because it goes, horizontally, gray to white and back to gray - modify the percentages and hex colors to suit. It WON'T show up in Antenna (WHEN is that HTML5 version coming?), but it shows up fine in the browsers! The code is -
<style type="text/css"> body { background: -moz-linear-gradient(right,#BBBBBB 0%,#FFFFFF 25%,#FFFFFF 75%,#BBBBBB 100%); background: -webkit-linear-gradient(right,#BBBBBB 0%,#FFFFFF 25%,#FFFFFF 75%,#BBBBBB 100%); background: -o-linear-gradient(right,#BBBBBB 0%,#FFFFFF 25%,#FFFFFF 75%,#BBBBBB 100%); background: -ms-linear-gradient(right,#BBBBBB 0%,#FFFFFF 25%,#FFFFFF 75%,#BBBBBB 100%); background: linear-gradient(right,#BBBBBB 0%,#FFFFFF 25%,#FFFFFF 75%,#BBBBBB 100%); } </style>
